About the hotel

The Old City Boutique Hotel is situated in the heart of the Old city and belongs to the unique architectural masterpiece.

The building where nowadays is located hotel, in 15 century was owned by ruttman Iogann Reutern and was used as a barn, which people called as „elephant” because of the decorative portal which shape looked like an elephant.

By the time, the barn has been rushed leaving intact only stone arches, which are impregnated throughout with the spirit of 15 century.

Our aim was to renovate and save the part of the history of Riga and bring it to the nowadays. With the complex reconstruction the barn has reborn and became as a first unique hotel in Riga which amazes by unusual combination of a modernist style and fragments of an ancient bricklaying of walls. We have combined two absolutely diverse styles into one harmoniously whole decision.

Old City Boutique Hotel can be called as a museum of the photography. In the hotel presents the collection of old photos of Riga by which you can view the history of the city until present times.

Also each room is equipped by the system of the central air-conditioning and adjustable heating and floor heating.
